Full Moon-Stone Magic
Moonstone Key Words: Emotional Healing, Ancient Power, Female Energy
My first blog reaches cyber space powered by the lunar energies of today’s Full Moon. I think that it is a potent time for posting a few words from the heart which will, hopefully, spread some moon-inspired magic to help propel you through the rest of the year!
As I am down South doing animal healing this weekend, I am currently writing to you from my seaside location in Worthing, where I am staying at a B&B with a rather romantic story underlying its name. Without disclosing my exact location, the name of the guesthouse was derived from the days when a sea captain lived here. The story goes that he sailed to Recife and met a Portugese girl near a lighthouse after which the B&B is now named. The captain married the love of his life, brought her back to Worthing and named their home after the place they met! I feel very inspired by this tale and I hope that my stay at the B&B has somewhat infused my life with the romantic energy of this nautical happy-ever-after!
Apart from delighting in the Mills and Boon escapades of the former B&B captain, what I really love about staying by the seaside are the long walks along the coastline! I love being able to breathe in the fresh sea-air, while admiring the views, and feeling the immense power of the sea energies. Tonight’s stroll was especially powerful as I was fully aware of the pull of the Full Moon on my psyche, and its encouragement towards reflection. The message it seemed to give to me to pass along is quite simple: “Take stock.” We are half way through the year and we have now passed through many recent eclipses, not to mention many other planetary going-ons, including an earthquake in Worthing this morning! The 3.9 magnitude quake is, apparently, the biggest to strike a 16 mile region in 300 years. Although its effects went largely unnoticed on a conscious level, I think the vibrations will still be felt at some level of our collective being, and there is an element of being “shook up” to think about where we are going in the second half of 2011!
This week I have had many enquiries about moonstone, hence the theme of this blog. I think people must really have been tapping into the pre-Full Moon vibrations. The moonstone urges us to be reflective and it is a stone which really resonates with women because it holds the energies of the female archetype. Just to briefly share, I used my thoughts of the moonstone, while walking in the moonlight this evening, to reflect on my year so far and to think about where I would like to focus my energies for the remainder of the year. The moonstone is a stone of new beginnings and, lo and behold, I have had a message of new beginnings come through in a meditation today. In my mind, this new beginning relates to the vision which I have for Emerald City Healing and the business-from-home which I want to build around this venture in future. However, another message I have had includes the need for “play”, so I want to factor in a little more time for fun and laughter in my life!
My experience of the moonstone this week is a perfect example of how crystals can really make their presence felt as a way of communicating a strong and important message. In a nutshell, I think the moonstone is urging us all to reflect – to clear out that which no longer serves us, and to focus on creating our own special brand of magic so as to enhance our lives and that of the world in which we live!
